Hi,
I am Demetris Moyseos and I live in Nicosia, Cyprus. I always had a passion with animals
and especially dogs and Parrots. I always admired the Bichons while I was studyning in the
UK. I have seen them at Crufts Dog show and I have fallen in love with them.
I have decided to use Aphrodite's Reflection name for the following reason:
Aphrodite is the ancient Greek goddess of love, fertility and beauty. The Greek word
“Aphros” means “Foam” and according to Hesiod Aphrodite was born from the white foam
of the waves produced by the severed genitals of Uranus ( Heaven), after his son Cronus
threw them into the blue sea of Cyprus.
Aphrodite is reflected in those “ Fluffy, White, Powder Puff Foamy” Bichons from
where she rose. That’s my thinking behind the name of Aprodite’s Reflection .
My first Bichon, Arion came into my life in November 2005. His parents were imported
from the famous Jitterbop Bichons in Finland. Arion turned into a handsome, showy and
beautiful Bichon.
His wonderful character and successful show career brought me into the show world
with enthousiasm and commitment to proceed. There was so much to learn about
Bichons, grooming and scissoring that I found it very challenging, The more I learned the
more I wanted to know about them.
My special thanks go to Jaana Kauppinen( Jitterbop Bichons), Jaana Karenmaa - Nurminen
( Diamella Kennel) and Wivi (Petit Ami's Kennel) for all their help, encouragement and
willingness to help at all times. Thanks a lot !!!!!!!
In 2006 I was looking for a female Bichon in Finland and thanks to Jaana Kauppinen
( Jitterbop Bichons) I got Katri ( Diamella Return to Sender ) from Jaana Karenmaa-
Nurminen. Katri is a lovable little Bitch with the sweetest expression and character.
And then on March 2007, I got Apollon ( Petit Ami’s Get-up-and-Go) from Wivi, Petit Ami’s
Bichons in Norway. Apollon is a beautiful puppy and I am anxiously waiting to see him in
the show ring.
